“Just look at me. I’ve never been so disappointed in all my life. Harness on ready to go on an outing and maybe a nibble or two then they abandon me by the door. I have no idea what that is in front of me but it does not smell like food, it’s all spikes.”
Jen and John came out of the lounge and took one look at their prize little companion.
“Oh, John, please take a photo of Mickey. He looks so fed up waiting there by the door. I’ll get a bag for the pineapple. We need to drop it off with Liza. Then, if our sulky companion can bring himself to look a little happier, we can drop by the Coffee Shop. I’ll take some of his biscuits. The vet said we had to cut out extra food so if I give him these little dry nibbles. He will think its extra not taken out of his daily food allowance.”
John took the photo and whispered to Mickey, “Don’t worry little fellow I’ll get you an extra treat. I know this dieting nonsense is a right misery. Come on, I’ll get your lead and we can go to the car.”
Mickey knew he could wangle something out of this situation after all
